Word List Author Note: BEAT-you (Ha-ha) [1st ver.] The sign starts with an S-hand and ends with an H-hand. [Can be with or without the Non-Dom Hand [2nd).] Can be directional, toward whom you defeat, AND can be toward you, as Bravo/Billy shows. The sign CONQUER [3rd, like Bravo] (which also means "to beat") is related, but distinct. Dr. B recommends to avoid the gloss-word BEAT, because that English word has a multitude of meanings. "GOTCHA" might be a good gloss for this sign, meaning "I/We beat you! (I/We won!)" as well as, "Ha! I/We did better than you" or "We 'bested' you!" The English word "Gotcha!" works for all of these.
